Nick Gowdridge FCII

After becoming one of the youngest FCII qualified brokers in the UK at the time, Nick moved overseas to work in the specialist captive insurance company and reinsurance markets located in the Cayman Islands and later in New Jersey. Following his successful spell overseas Nick returned back to the UK to form Whitman Gowdridge with Andy Whitman in 1990. Since the formation of Whitman Gowdridge, Nick has helped drive the development of several bespoke products for specialist areas of cover, notably in the realm of financial bonds and sureties as well as structuring insurance schemes for the travel and optician sectors.

Matthew Kilgallen

Matthew started his career with International Insurance brokers Aon group in 1989, as a broker responsible to several directors. Later that year he moved over to the RHA Insurance Services arm of the business specialising in arranging insurance covers for the transport, logistics and haulage sector. Over the next 9 years he built up a substantial client portfolio in this specialist sector, advising them on their insurance portfolios and assisting them through insurance claims. Bringing many of his clients with him, Matthew joined Whitman Gowdridge in 1998 as office manager and became a director in 2005. Since then he has continued to grow our specialist involvement in the haulage and distribution sector as well as generating new clients in the general insurance sector. Matthew continues to advise clients in all areas of insurance and is recently responsible for launching a bespoke property owners scheme for IFA’s.
